And for the second time that the mother got married, it was unfortunate, because after ten years of companionship, her husband died again.

Dionie Caurang finished his elementary education at Talipanan Elementary School. He continued his Secondary at Paitan Mangyan School, but on second year he stopped due to financial constraints. At the time he was out of school, he worked as a laborer at a construction site. After one year, he enrolled at Puerto Galera National High School.. He has a dream of becoming a good teacher in Mathematics someday.

They belong to Mangyan group. The primary occupation of his father is farming. Just like any other group of Mangyan, they have no regular source of income. Aside from fact that is father is suffering from high blood pressure, another problem being by the family are the married ones who still dependents on their parents.

Samuel Pampilo was the youngest of the family. He graduated from elementary last March 18,1998 at Elementary School of Talipanan. He enrolled Puerto Galera Academy, but after one year, his parents decided to transfer him to Paitan Mangyan School, because they can no longer pay the expensive tuition fee at Puerto Galera Academy. And then again, an unexpected problem was encountered by the family that made the decide to transfer again at Puerto Galera National High School. He wants to be a good teacher someday..

Silaan Family lives at Sitio Talipanan, Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro and they belong to Mangyan Minority..Their mother as a breadwinner shouldered all the responsibilities, since her husband died for being industrious and for working hard for his family. Obviously, the income is not enough to sustain the needs of the family, hence the grandparents are also dependents. Most of the time, they don't eat on time. Root crops like sweet potatoes and cassavas are their primary food..

Heldo Silaan graduated from Elementary at Talipanan Mangyan Elementary School and continued his high school education at Paitan Mangyan High School for two years. When he reached third year, his mother decided to transfer him at Public School because she could no longer support all his expenses..He dreamt of becoming a policeman someday..

FAMILY BACKGROUND:
Caringal Family, are living at Sitio Bigaan , Balatero,and ther belong to Mangyan group in Puerto Galera, They are indigent family and they could not get all the needs of the Family coz of primary occupation is a farmer and sometimes a laborer , so their income is not enough to sustain their daily needs. According to them, sometimes they suffered for meals, due to lack of money to buy their foods, and most of the time they have to eat root crops, like cassava, sweet potato , etc. Regarding to their economic status they cant't really afford for other basic needs.

Virginia would like to continue her studies and she is dreaming to be one of those who finish high school even in college if still somebody will help her to support her needs. Virginia was the eldest on the family, Her brother Joelito, was in grade 2 , and the youngest Angelito will be in day care class on this coming June 2004.

Virginia, finish her elementary at Bigaan Elementary School last March 2002, and she start High school at Puerto Galera National High School then after a year she was transferred to Puerto Galera Academy, but unfortune she was forced to drop due to lack of money to support then she transferred to Camurong Abra de Ilog National High School and stay at her uncles house at Barangay Bugtong Abra de Ilog nearest barrangay of Camurong, She would like to finish her studies and would like to became Teacher someday.

At present, it was unfortunate the father cannot work because he is now suffering from Acute Pneumonia which may lead to tuberculosis. And now her mother is the breadwinner, aside from foods and other needs, she also has to find medicines and other medical needs of her husband. Because they are now suffering from financial problem the education of the children is also suffering.

Vilma Ebangello is the youngest of the family. She graduated from elementary last March 2003, at Bigaan Elementary School and her 1 st year as a student takes at Puerto Galera, National High School . Her dream is to be a good teacher someday.
