Miracle celebrates her 1st Birthday at Coco Beach

Dale Ibay and his wife Mitch first visit to Coco Beach was in August 2008, and true to their promise the happy couple were back again in November 2009. According to Dale, they had tried other places in Puerto Galera but it was only here in Coco Beach were they truly enjoyed their vacation.

Dale, Mitch and Miracle during their birthday games at he Children's Playground

Last April 2010, Dale and Mitch were back for the third time, this time with a beautiful, little girl named Miracle Aira Danielle, their first born. According to them, Miracle or “Mira” for short was “made” in Coco Beach and they wanted her first birthday to be a truly memorable one. The bakers of Coco Beach made a beautiful banana cake with sugar icing which was served during breakfast last April 22, Mira’s birthday. Mitch brought a long some lootbags filled with treats, gaily colored balloons and a “pabitin” which the dining staff helped set up. They also sang a birthday song to Mira who was only too happy with her birthday celebration. Mira then shared her cake with the other guests having breakfast at that time and gave loot bags and party hats to the other kids.

Dale and Miracle are joined by other children for the pabitin

After breakfast, the Ibay family went for a whole day of snorkeling and picnic and by evening had a wonderful dinner by the beach with the resort’s Chef special. Abet, one of our waiters waited on them that evening.

To continue with Mira’s birthday celebration, a morning-filled with children’s activities was prepared by the Activity Guides who assisted the family with games which included a pabitin and hit the pot at the Children’s Playground. Guests and their children as well as some of the children of Coco Beach Family were there, too.

Dale, Mitch and particularly Mira, enjoyed their stay so much that the family decided to extend one more day here at Coco Beach. With the Ibay family, we hope that they will become part of our tradition here in Coco Beach!

Apasi Group

The APASI group during their Obstacle Race at the beach

The Adhesive and Paints Application System Inc., APASI for short, is engaged in the trading and manufacturing and have been in this business for 9 years. The group just arrived here last April 30 and will be staying at Coco Beach for 3 days and 2 nights. The group is headed by their president Mr. Albert Jocson and the group coordinator Ms. Irene Tenorio. It was Ms. Tenorio’s friend who was here two years on their honeymoon who recommended Coco Beach to the group. APASI had other choices for their company outing like Boracay and Subic but because of the so many nice things that they heard about Coco Beach, they all agreed to come here this year.

Pull! 2 groups fight it off on the Tug of War

After settling in their assigned rooms, the group proceeded to the meeting area to start the beach games our Activity Guys prepared for them. The games consisted of the Obstacle Race and Beach Relay. They divided the group into two groups. Group 1 included Irene, Lota, Clariz, Ronilo, Jason, Manny, German, Orlando, Catz won the games. This was followed by another set of games, the TUG OF WAR and finally the Beach Volleyball where the APASI Group was pitted against the Mangyan Coco Beach Team consisting of resort staffers. All throughout the games, members of the APASI Group had a great time with shouts of joy and excitement.

Service Mamas’ Day!

In celebration of Mother’s Day, all Service Mama’s celebrated this special day in advance. As a gift for themselves, the Service Mama’s went to Bulabod Beach for a whole day of picnic, fun and games. They also took this opportunity to bond with each other given that they had been very busy all season long and the trip was a great time for them to relax and let go.

The Service Mamas with some of their children at Bulabod Beach

If you are familiar with them, the Service Mamas are Angie, Delia, Estella and Belen who take care of the Suites and Family Deluxe rooms; Lalay and Joy are in charge of the Banana Deluxe; Gloria, Maribel and Emma tend to the Classic Deluxe; Jessica takes care of the of Hilltop Suite rooms while Cherry handles the Standard Rooms. All thirteen Service Mamas had a fun day with our Resort Manager Ging.

The Service Mama's children also enjoying the beach

The Service Mamas are the ones who help you if you want to surprise your loved one with a special flower arrangement as they are skilled in floral arrangements. They also provide laundry service, baby sitting, wake up calls anyway you like it, room cleaning and bed preparation and room service. Buoyancy is an essential diving skill and PADI’s Peak Performance Buoyancy shows you how to make the most out of your diving experience. Enjoy newfound freedom as you stay in control of your dive and use less air.

You will be surprised how few weights you need to make a dive and how your breathing will be more calm and controlled.
