Fil-Star Maritime Group
Last week, two groups of Filipino companies came to Coco Beach for some fun and relaxation.
Fil-Star Maritime with its 63 employees headed by big boss Takao Ikedo arrived in Coco Beach where their first activity was a hearty buffet lunch at Pamera Restaurant. In the afternoon, our Activity Guides prepared some games for them at the beach like the beach relay - sack race, tires, bench, kayak race), tug-of-war and beach volleyball. Before the game, the group was divided into 4 teams. yellow, red, blue and pink team.

Let the games begin!

Yellow and Red teams pulling with all their might
The yellow team dominated the beach relay and tug-of-war and they received special prizes from their big boss. The yellow team is made up of Melissa Magalona, Raezon Ballesteros, Daisy Lavandero, Alvin Almojallas, Genesis Pabilario, Michelle Gonzales and Victorio Milallos.

Fil-Star against the Coco Mangyan
The main event for the afternoon's activities was the Beach Volleyball Tournament. They chose to play against Coco Mangyan Team. The game was fought closely with the Coco Mangyan team dominating the first set but the Fil-Star group took revenge by winning the 2nd set. The final set was a tight game but the Coco Mangyan Team was so good, they won the third set and got free drinks courtesy of Fil-Star Group.

Paco Catholic School Group
At the same time, the teachers and staff of the Paco Catholic School also had a great time at Coco Beach. They joined the boat tour to Bayanan Beach where they enjoyed the fine white sand and beautiful corals. The day before they left Coco Beach, they held a simple but beautiful holy mass at Heritage Hall celebrated by Msgr. Domingo A. Cirilos. Other guests and staff also joined in the mass. |

| The French Connection |
A group of 13 French nationals visited Coco Beach for the first time. They were very much excited and wanted to immediately explore the beautiful beaches & coves and high mountains of Puerto Galera.

Enjoying the cool water of the Aninuan Lagoon
The French group consisted of Wally Schieve, the guide and just live in Parañaque, Francis Potrico, Jeanne & Vianne Motte, Desandere A., Baumgartner M., Brand Didier, Sylie Lefedure, Anne Bourdon, Karine Vanadez, Benoit Quinfurel and Anne Lise Geffroy.
Their first excursion was beach hopping w/ activity guides Darwin and JR. They also went to White Beach were they bought some souvenirs, then Haligi Beach for some barbeque lunch and snorkeling. After lunch, they proceeded to the coral garden of Mangrove Cove and also saw the giant clams in the Parola Giant Clams Garden.

Whole day trekking with Mountain Guide Edwin on the tree showing some survival tricks
The following day, they went on a whole day trekking in the mountains of Puerto Galera-Baclayan, Malasimbo and Mamundor with our Mountain Guide Edwin and JR. From Muelle they took a 25-minute jeepney ride to Barangay Aninuan where they stopped first at the Aninuan Falls and Lagoon. This hideaway is situated just at the foot of Mt. Malasimbo. The group enjoyed the clear water flowing down from the mountain. After lunch, the group continued their trek and were amazed by the diverse flora and fauna of the mountains of Puerto Galera. After 3 hours of hiking, the group reached the Baclayan Mangyan Settlement. After a short break, they move on to Mt. Mamundor which took another 2 hours to trek until they reached its summit at 2,500 feet above sea level. During the hike, they passed through different Iraya Mangyan Villages.
According to French, their trekking adventure was really tough but it was all worth it because of the awesome and fantastic views and sights the mountains offered. They also appreciated very much Edwin's annotation about the history of the Mangyans as well as their customs and traditions. |

| PADI Bubblemaker course |
Give your children a vacation experience they never will forget with the PADI Bubblemaker course.

PADI’s Bubblemaker logo.
It is a great way to introduce children to scuba diving in a pool in less than 2 meters of water. Youngsters can join in the family fun of scuba diving or even start a trend! Children should be comfortable in the water, but they don’t have to be super swimmers.
We often get the question: “My youngest is 8 years old, can he already learn to dive?” and the answer is always YES...No problem! The Bubblemaker program is designed for children like yours. It’s an excellent way to introduce children to diving. Whilst making their first bubbles underwater, you can benefit from some hours of rest!

Rex is getting ready to enter the pool with 4 Bubblemaker candidates.
If they are 8 and 9 years of age they can take the plunge with Coco Divers. We first start with some basic academics, so the youngsters know what to do once they are in the water. Afterwards we go in the pool where we train some skills and play around until everybody is comfortable. Last but not least we will make a dive in the ocean to the maximum depth of 2 meters. The whole program last for about 2 hours.

The kids can’t wait to get started.
Children are very quick learners and they enjoy the thrill of breathing underwater. And to be honest... how many children wouldn’t like to come home and tell all their friends that they have been scuba diving with tanks on their vacation and show their Bubblemaker certification?
