University of the Philippines Medical Society in America (UPMASA)

University of the Philippines Medical Society in America (UPMASA) headed by their president Zenda Garcia – Lat, M.D.  together with Oriental Mindoro Association of Southern California and Ugnayan ng Pahinungod of UP-PGH held a medical mission at Oriental Mindoro Provincial Hospital in Calapan.

The group had a total of 106 major surgeries, 180 minor surgeries, 2,118 out-patient-consultations, 317 dental services and 670 eyeglasses dispensed during their five days mission.

After their hectic schedule, Coco Beach Island Resort was the next destination for the much needed R&R before going back to Manila. On their two nights vacation, the group is well taken cared by their respective service family. They enjoyed dining at Carabao restaurant and some of them experience the fine dining at the revolving restaurant, a perfect place for a nice, quiet and romantic dinner. They feel more special when they experienced our Behiya spa that calm their senses and when they discover the other beaches and cove around Puerto Galera with our free boat tour.

Thank you UPMASA group and other volunteers for the good work. After your medical mission, hundreds of happy faces will now continue with their lives. In behalf of those people you’d help, we are deeply grateful  for your kindness and open hearted  dedication in helping our province. Congratulations for another great medical mission and thank you very much.
