The 8^th New Moon Party was held last August 17, 2012 at seven thirty in the evening in the poolside area. A crowd gathered from all over the world like Korea, Philippines, Denmark and others joined the event.

Coco Beach's in-house band, Iraya Band as Alvin their vocalist, performed their mixed reggae music together with Art Tactics fire dancers headed by Lexter Navarro and Jarari Escueta who did a splendid performance. Some pica pica options for the night were pork ensalada, mixed nuts, tempura and crudities. While the new moon drinks are weng weng, mindoro glow, gypsy, screwdriver, tequila sunrise, rhumcoke and gintonic.

This peppered tuna steak is now available in Coco Beach Island Resort's Carabao Restaurant!

You will surely love the lusciousness of the fresh tuna as it goes along well with the freshly cracked peppercorns and drizzled with calamansi juice and olive oil. The pepper provides a pungent but complimentary counterpoint to the rich flavor of the tuna.

This Peppered Tuna or Tuna Au Poivre comes with a side dish of your choice.

Last Saturday in Coco Beach Island Resort, instead of having the usual Garden Fiesta Party, Chef Noel and his cooks launched the first ever “Coco Food Bazaar” for a change. Four mini bahay kubos were set-up at the Carabao Garden for the following stations, Main Course, Barbeque or Grilling station, Mongolian and Dessert station.

In the Main Course station guest may choose from relyenong bangus, tortang talong with ground beef, kare-kare, fried chicken, pork afritada, fish sarciado, ginataang pusit, ampalaya with egg, ginisang sitaw at kalabasa and steamed rice.

While the Barbeque station have marinated liempo, chicken and jumbo hotdog that is grilled right. Mongolian beef stir-fry, chicken and pork stir-fry are your choices in the Mongolian Station. Have it cooked in front of you and enjoy while it is hot.

And for the Dessert station, Cook Weng of Touch of Asia also prepares buco pandan, buco salad, turon de manila and fresh lumpia.

The party started at 6:30 in the evening with the music of Coco Band. According to the guests the food was great and they find the price very affordable. With almost everyone joined that night we could say it was a big hit.

Like a famous publisher once said, “Any man can be a father but it takes someone special to be a Dad”. On Father’s Day let us make him feel special more than anyone else. Coco Beach Island Resort have these activities not only for Father & Son but for the whole family to spend time together.

Early morning a free Fishing Trip for a team of Father & Son was arranged. A great way spending and bonding with Dad while enjoying the beauty of nature. And for adrenaline-loving duo we have the Trekking tour to Mt. Baclayan. This trip gives both the feeling of being so close to nature and a trip you will certainly both remember.

At evening time, a treat to the main man and pillar of the Family with Chef Noel’s Special Father’s Day dinner which includes Seafood Gumbo, a heavily seasoned soup that combines varieties of seafoods and vegetables, Rib Eye Steak served with mashed potato and pepper or mushroom sauce and Brownie Sundae for dessert, a mouth watering sundae made with brownies, ice cream and chocolate syrup.
